4 Tips to Winning the Heart of a Lady With an Anointing in Her Life

!: 4 Tips to Winning the Heart of a Lady With an Anointing in Her Life

You are single and you have never been married, and God has a calling on your life for full time service to Him. You have a zeal for God and you only want a lady that has a zeal like yours to serve God. In essence you want a lady to partner you with a great anointing of God on her life also. This article is written for you. Enjoy reading and if you agree pray the prayer and write a comment on the article.

TIP 1 Be honest with her and yourself

A lady with an anointing on her life for full time ministry is a person that treasures honesty and she is love with Jesus, someone that NEVER lies to her. A lady needs a husband that can lead her house and be the head, and if you are not up to the task it is best that you don't try and pretend that you are!

You can kid yourself and think that you are a spiritual person, but there were many spiritual people when Jesus walked the earth also, even New Age people are a lot more spiritual then many Christians.

If you are sold out to Jesus and the will of God, then by all means seek the hand of a lady with a calling on her life.

TIP 2 Be Sold out For God's Will in Your Life

Don't kid yourself or God. To win the heart of a lady called by God, you and her visions for your future should be the same. If God has been calling you to go to Africa for years you should be pursuing that for God. You should not be searching for a lady who also has a calling to Africa on her life.

This is part of being honest with yourself and with her. In some of the very first conversations with a potential lady you should not be afraid of mentioning that God is calling you to Africa.

You should take the lead when you talk about where you are called. You will know the right lady when as you mention this, she is quick to tell you that she has also had a calling to go there also.

Paul said it is best that a man does not marry and therefore devote all of his time and resources to God. I agree, many men spend all of their earnings on a wife and family, and these men could have done a lot more for God if they had remained single.

Be prepared to go to Africa without a wife man of God! Do firstly what God wants you to do. Seek first the Kingdom of God and He might bless you with a helpmate.

The Lord God is a jealous God. He would rather you be single then for you to have a wife that hinders you from completely doing the will of God. God does not favor men and women that make an idol out of their partners.

A woman that has been called by God for full time ministry will see this zeal on your life and your passion too serve the King of Kings and this will attract her more then any romantic words spoken by you could!

TIP 3 Make it clear that you want to serve God first in your marriage

Living in Africa can mean that you don't have the electricity of the West and toasters, jugs, electric blankets and all manner of luxuries of the West. To have a wife with a calling on her life fall in love with you means that you will serve God, no matter how much you have to go without.

Many people don't serve God in their life because the world is so attractive with its high wages and all that they can buy. But to have the servant heart of Jesus you might not be a person that puts much stock in the goods of the world and the life in Africa would not be such a huge cost for serving God for you.

Many women want to serve BOTH God and their families. But a precious women of God with a great calling on her life will care little for the things of the world and the luxury of the West. They will already be the women that Jesus and the Father speak to tenderly and you might find that they are quite old and have been waiting patiently for the man of God that has been promised to them so many years ago.

They won't be married once and wanting to have a second marriage with you.

Mark 10:11-12 (New International Version)

11He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery." No matter what the world says, second marriages are adultery. So the woman called by God won't have been married once and now want to marry you.

No, the women called by God might even be in her forties or older, yet she would have always been waiting for a man of God. A woman called of God would not have settled for a lesser man of God to starve off her loneliness as Jesus would have been her partner for years.

No matter how many gifts a woman of God might have, if she has been married once and her ex husband is still living; she is not the woman for you. You have to be strong and prove you will serve God first and not her want for you.

TIP 4 Be patient when it comes to God's will in your life.

Many people tend to march ahead of God and move and do things that the Spirit has not asked them to do. Having a website might be a popular thing to have if you are in ministry. But, you must not make a website until the Spirit of God tells you to move and do that.

Jesus only did what His Father told Him to do through the Holy Spirit. You also need to learn only to move when the Spirit calls you to move.

This may be very important when it comes to asking a lady out on a date. A woman called of God might have noticed you, but she may need more evidence that you are the right sort of guy for her.

If you are interested in a woman with an anointing by God, be patient until the Spirit gives you the go ahead to ask her out.

This applies to nearly all your decisions that you make and most certainly the big decisions. It is vital that you let patience have its perfect work in you. Jesus could have started to preach when he was 14 years of age, but he waited till He was 30 years of age, the minimum age of a Rabbi.

As a man of God, it is a tremendous responsibility to be called by God to serve Him full time and double as much responsibility for you to marry a woman with an anointing by God.

It is vital therefore, that you learn to move as the Spirit of God moves. If revival breaks out, you might want to go and check it out, but you must first consult the Spirit of God, as to if you can, and when you should go.

The Holy Spirit might want you to start another fire at the same time from your own ministry as the same angel that came to the first revival comes over and anoints you.

A woman that has waited many years for the husband that the Lord of Hosts has destined for her does not want to be disappointed with you with you making a financial commitment or some other decision without the Holy Spirit giving you the go ahead.

God does some of his greatest works through men and woman of God that have waited twenty or more years for their visions coming into being. There is just such a special anointing reserved for people willing to go through the refiner's fire and storms of life for many years before God raises them up into major ministry.

Only a patient man will win the heart of a very patient woman of God. An anointed woman isn't looking for clever talk; she is looking for well developed fruit in your life. Sure, she may feel the anointing when you preach or feel the anointing on what you write, but many men have the anointing and lack the fruit to sustain the sort of calling she has on her life.

Can I pray for you:

Father of Lights:

We come to you today and seek Your Will in our life when it comes to marriage. Father give us the patience to seek only your best and to do only Your Will. Lord lead us more and more by You Holy Spirit. Teach us only to move when we see You Moving. Teach us to become leaders and not followers. Lord anoint us to break new ground for you and bring into our life the fruits of the Spirit through the storms of life. Lord give us the wisdom to read and re- read this teaching so that we know what we need to do to win the right anointed woman to be our partner.

Father, anoint us, give us the power to do Your Will, lead us by Your Spirit and keep us learning the things that we need to know to do Your will in our life. Keep us away from distractions and keep us from touching those things that are not pleasing to You. Teach us from every medium we experience, and mentor us through the voice of the Good Shepherd and Teach us the Word of God from the Teacher, the Holy Spirit.

Give us the endurance to weather the storms of life and keep us from sin to the appointed day that we marry the lady for us.

In Jesus name we ask

Amen

How to Turn Your House Into a Vacation Rental

!: How to Turn Your House Into a Vacation Rental

Turning your house into a vacation rental can seem overwhelming at first... but it really doesn't have to be. This is a process that you can really enjoy and have fun with! I have set up houses as vacation rentals dozens and dozens of times, for my client's properties, as well as my own houses. I understand what is involved and required from every aspect, from assuring the property is in compliance with governmental agency rules and regulations, to making sure it has all the essentials that most guests require. In my commitment to assuring that my clients are continually successful with their vacation rental houses, I often find myself in the role of 'vacation rental counselor,' mostly pertaining to governmental agency and code compliance, quality assurance, and ongoing property maintenance required to meet the current industry standard.

So, with that in mind, it's important to begin with the basics when you decide to offer your house as a vacation accommodation to travelers. In this article I will provide you with the 5 most important steps to follow to assure your vacation rental success. As you read through this, I advise you to consider the fact that your house is in a unique town or city, that this article is a general guide, and that it is critical for you to become aware of your local community sentiment, and rules and regulations about short-term rentals. Always remember, your house is a private property, it is are not a hotel, and preparing your house and managing it as a vacation rental accommodation for tourists must be carefully and thoughtfully done.

1 - LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES, AND REGULATIONS

The very first thing you need to do is to educate yourself about your local city, county, and state laws, ordinances, and rules and regulations pertaining to offering your house as a vacation rental in your unique community neighborhood. Please don't just assume that because it's your property, you can do whatever you want with it. And, please don't put a lot of effort and expense in setting up your house as a rental for tourists until you rule out the possibility that there are laws preventing you from doing so. Many local and state government agencies have clear regulations stating that setting up your house to rent as a vacation rental turns it into a business, and it will probably be subject to some level of city, county, and / or state licensing. Many governing agencies also require that to legally rent your house as a short-term rental, you must collect local and state tax from tourists who rent your property.

A quick search in the vacation rental news reveals, that as short-term rentals become more and more popular, many communities have licensing restrictions and very specific rules and regulations regarding renting houses short term to tourists. Call your local town or city governmental offices and get to the appropriate licensing department that can answer your specific questions. Find out what specific licenses and / tax numbers you need to legally rent your house, and get them. I highly recommend that you seek the assistance of an established licensed local rental agency that can properly assist you understanding and complying with licensing and tax requirements required in your community.

2 - YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND YOUR NEIGHBORS

Now that you've determined that it is legal for you to rent your house as a vacation rental, and you've obtained the proper licenses and tax numbers, it's time to think about the neighborhood where your rental house is located. This might seem silly, and many people gloss over this important step, but believe me you can save massive headaches and fights with neighbors by dealing with this issue pro-actively. Nearly every news article you read on communities that are resisting or trying to restrict vacation rentals point to the same neighbor issues: noisy tourists staging loud parties, tourists taking parking spaces from local residents, and tourists being careless with their garbage.

In all the years I've been in the vacation rental business I've seen several neighbor-to- neighbor squabbles that have involved code enforcement, the police, and even expensive law suits. Most of these issues could have been avoided with plain common sense and consideration. Find out who your neighbors are, and do your best to communicate with them and determine if they will resist you renting your house to tourists.

Once you begin renting your house to vacationers, you need to commit to being selective about who you rent your house to. It is important to talk with them and determine if they will be a 'good fit' for your neighborhood. Ask them directly what they plan to do while they are renting your house for their vacation. For example, if you discover a potential guest is planning to rent your house to accommodate a wedding party or a birthday party, think about the impact on your neighbors and if they will be okay with this. Some properties I manage are in neighborhoods that will only tolerate very quiet couples, others are set up to accept larger groups and the neighbors are clear on this and understand the rules. Know your neighborhood, and set up your own 'House Rules' that your tourist tenants must agree to comply with.

The biggest complaint that most neighbors have who live next to vacation houses is noise. Some neighbors are more 'noise sensitive' than others, and you need to know if your neighbor is going to call the police every time a group of vacationers sit around the swimming pool and listen to music. Give neighbors who live next to your rental your phone number, and ask them to call you directly if there is a noise problem. And when there is a problem, call the guests and ask them to quiet down. Since you are renting your house to tourists, it is your responsibility to make sure the guests you bring into your rental house are respectful of the local neighborhood.

3 - FURNISHING YOUR HOUSE AS A VACATION RENTAL

Furnishing your house can be daunting if you've never done it before. Below is a very detailed list of basic home furnishing items you will need to provide. This includes suggestions for bed configurations, kitchen essentials, soft goods, and household items. Your guests will be looking for the basic comforts most of us look for in our daily living.

Enjoy setting up your house for tourists - and strive to strike a balance between nice and economy. If you are striving to attract a 'higher end' clientele add some nice touches and things that you would appreciate if you were 'a guest in your own house.' You don't need to purchase all new items, but please doesn't use junk or your house will start to look like an unappealing garage sale. Add some interesting art work, wall mirrors, artificial plants, and some nice nick-nacks - just take care not to overdo it or it can start to look cluttered. Some personal pictures (a shot with your friends or family members) are nice to place on shelves... it reminds guests that they are in some one's house, and not a hotel.

Suggested Bed Size Lay Out

Your vacation rental property needs to be practical and 'user friendly' as well as beautiful to look at. I have found the following general layout to meet the demands of most guests. As a general rule, avoid putting too many extra beds in a bedroom, you do not want to give the message of 'the more the merrier.' If your property has an office or den, it is a nice feature to add a desk or set up an office.

Try to make the 'nicest' bedroom the master bedroom. The nicest bedroom is usually determined by the view and features - such as en-suite bathroom, private deck, French doors that lead to the swimming pool or porch, or it can just be the largest bedroom if the property offers no other unique features. If your property has more than one bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and/or view than you are lucky to have a property that can be marketed with more than one master bedroom or suite... and that is a fantastic feature. That way, couples traveling together don't have to 'flip for' the best bedroom!

About bed sizes: The layout below is suggested after nearly 2 decades of being in this business and listening to what guests require. Today, it seems like most people sleep in king size beds at home, and many couples who stay in vacation rentals insist on a king bed. For some couples, not having a king bed option can be a 'deal breaker' since they are convinced they won't be able to sleep in a smaller bed with their partner. So that being said, here are the basic suggested guidelines...

Two Bedroom House

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom - Prefer King bed. If room is too small use a Queen.

Bedroom 2:- 2nd bedroom - Queen or 2 twins. (I find that 2 twins are a better option as they can be pushed together to make a King.)

Three Bedroom House

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom - Prefer King bed. If the room is too small use a Queen.

Bedroom 2: 2nd bedroom - Queen or King or 2 twins.

Bedroom 3: 3rd bedroom - 2 Twins or Trundle bed

Four Bedroom House

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom - Prefer King bed, but if the room is too small use a Queen.

Bedroom 2: 2nd bedroom - Queen or King

Bedroom 3: 3rd bedroom - Queen or King or 2 twins.

Bedroom 4: 4th bedroom - 2 Twins or Trundle bed

Guideline for Cookware and Kitchen Items

Equip your vacation rental kitchen with basic cookware and kitchen items. Buy a good set of good cookware, as much quality as you can afford. It does not pay in the 'long run' to get the cheapest as it will not last, but not necessary to buy the very best either. Sometimes you can find a nice stainless steel set in a box. Do not get the cheap aluminum stuff.

Stove Top Pans: Provide a basic set of 2, 4, 8, and 10 quarts.
Skillets: 7 and 10 inch
Oven Pans: Glass baking dishes: 9X13 and 8X8, roasting pan with lid (holiday dinners),cookie sheet, muffin tin, 1 pie pan, 2 cake pans, 1 pizza pan.
Mixing Bowls: 2 large: 8 - 10 quarts; 2 medium: 2 - 4 quarts; and 2 small: 1 - 2 quarts. These can be stainless or glass. These can also be used as serving bowls.
Knives: Paring, large vegetable, butcher, bread, and a sharpener.
Cook Prep Items: Colander, spatulas (1 medium size, l large size), mixing spoons (1 large, 1 medium), wire whisk, can opener (a good manual one is best), plastic cutting boards (1 large and 1 small), measuring spoons, rolling pin, ladle, funnel, and tongs.
Small Kitchen Appliances: Toaster, coffee pot (electric drip - Mr. Coffee Style), blender (good quality that will spin frozen drinks)
Other Kitchen Items: 2 to 4 pot holders and trivets, placements for complete table setting, 6 dish towels, teapot (for steeping tea; not essential but nice), bread basket, aluminum foil, and plastic wrap.
BBQ Grill: Inexpensive gas grills are best. Plan on replacing them about every couple of years.
Flatware and Serving Ware: Dinner plates, soup / cereal bowls, small plates (Service for 8 - 10 works best for property that sleeps up to 8), glasses (service for 8-10), flatware (service for 10 plus meat fork), 6 to 8 Serving spoons, 2 slotted spoons, coffee mugs or coffee cups and sauces (service for 10), 2 to 3 serving bowls and platters for hors d'oeuvres, or maybe a turkey or roast. Bright colorful serving bowls are nice and also help to add a 'pop of color' to the kitchen.
Cleaning Supplies (keep in property for guests): Hand dish soap, dishwasher soap, degreaser, window cleaner, cleaning cloths, large 2 to 3 gallon plastic bucket, mop, 2 brooms (1 for inside and 1 or outside),1 dust pan

Guideline for Soft Goods

Equip your vacation rental house with nice quality bedding, towels, and window coverings. Do not buy the cheapest soft goods. They won't last and you will likely receive complaints. Guests expect good quality towels and linens and will write bad reviews for poor quality items. You can save money by purchasing from discount warehouse and home furnishing stores.

Towels: For a 2 bedroom rental - 12 bath towels, 12 hand towels, and 8 wash clothes; for a 3 bedroom rental - 14 bath towels, 14 hand towels, 14 wash clothes; for a 4 bedroom rental - 16 bath towels, 16 hand towels, 16 wash clothes
Sheets and Pillow cases: 2 sets for each bed. Get at least 400 count sheets
Bedding Protectors: Mattress covers for each mattress zip pillow protectors for each bed pillow (these go on the pillow before the pillow case).
Bed spreads or comforters: We take our cue from high end hotel rooms. At this writing (2011) travelers like duvet covers (over comforters) and / or mattalesse coverlets in the contemporary market. Bed covers MUST be washable.
Decorative and Comfort Items: Throw pillows, 2 or 3 blanket throws, throw rugs, door mats
Beach / Pool Towels - 2 per bedroom
Window coverings - Nice curtains and / or blinds

Entertainment and Internet Service:

Flat Screen TV's: People expect TV's in the bedrooms as well as the main living room / great room. I recommend a large TV (minimum 36 inch) in the living room, and smaller ones in the bedrooms (15 - 24 inch are fine). Small flat screen TV's need to be mounted on the wall or bureaus for security reasons.

Cable TV or Satellite: Don't offer 'pay per view' features. It's too hard to keep track of those charges.

Internet (DSL): WiFi router is an expected feature. Almost all tourists travel with laptops... and they get upset if they don't have internet access. Most renters do request WiFi.

Stereo and C/D player: Most guests travel with iPods in today's market, but most still expect some kind of music player. This should not be an expensive unit. It can be a large 'boom box' type with detachable speakers and should be large enough that people do not try to take it outside.

4 - Maintenance and Housekeeping

Your vacation rental must be well maintained and kept immaculately clean. Keep in mind, that while your house is not a hotel, you are offering it as a vacation accommodation to travelers, and guests will expect maintenance and cleanliness standards set by nice hotels. This is not a place to cut corners, and if you do, your house will soon appear on a travel log such as Trip Advisor, Flip Key, or rental review sites with negative comments. Bad reviews about poor cleaning and maintenance, even if they are exaggerated by unscrupulous guests, can quickly stigmatize your house and discourage future guests from renting it. You simply must commit to bearing the cost to keeping your house to quality standard.

Most vacation rental agencies collect a departure cleaning fee in advance from the guests to clean it when they leave. Guests expect and deserve to arrive to a clean and tidy property. Set a cleaning rate that will cover your costs to clean the house thoroughly each and every time guests depart. Make sure you plan enough time to clean the house, and better yet hire a good professional housekeeper. Make sure carpets and furniture are cleaned as needed. During periods when your house is not rented, be sure you give it a deep clean. Replace towels and linens with new ones as necessary, and never make a bed or make up a bathroom with tired or stained linens or towels.

If your house has porches or decks and outdoor furniture, they must be kept scrubbed and free from mildew and look fresh for every guest who checks in. Same with windows, yards, landscaping, swimming pools, and Jacuzzi tubs - they must be maintained to quality standard or you will get complaints.

This goes for household maintenance issues as well. You will need to hone your handy-man skills and make sure all the light bulbs work, a/c filters are changed, the internet is working, TV remotes work, the toilets are flushing properly, and the pool and Jacuzzi heaters are working right. You will also need to be 'on call' to go over to the property and provide minor repairs. Unless you live in the same town as your rental, and you are absolutely committed to maintaining it, hire professionals to do this for you. If you are not willing or able to do this, or cannot quickly respond to any maintenance needs, I strongly recommend that you hire a professional rental agency that is staffed up to provide these kind of services. It will save you a lot of head ache and could save the reputation of your rental house.

5 - Managing Your Property - Advertising, Reservations, Rental Contracts, Bookkeeping

The final basic step to turning your house into a successful vacation home is to start advertising it and taking reservations. Today, there are several mega-vacation rental advertising websites to choose from that have huge data bases of available rental properties. Most of these are set up so you can you can post your own ad copy and download your own property photos. Expect to pay over 0. to get positioned on-line so that prospective renters can find your property. You can also use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to promote the availability of your property.

If you decide to manage your property yourself, you must be completely committed to every aspect of the administrative process. This means answering email and phone inquiries in a timely manner, maintaining an availability calendar, talking with potential guests to determine if they are appropriate renters for your house, writing and sending rental contracts to guests, collecting rental fees, collecting and paying required bed and / or sales tax, collecting and refunding security deposits (or determining costs where there is damage), paying housekeepers and maintenance people, paying utilities, keeping licenses current, and generally staying on top of the bookkeeping. There are several home-based reservation management software packages available to help you stay organized, but they will only work if you are diligent about keeping the information updated.

You can also hire a locally established rental agency to provide professional management and advertising services for you. Over the years, I have seen many people try to advertise and manage their own vacation property, and end up finding the process too time consuming and daunting. If they live in the same town as the rental house, they end up spending all their "free time" (and then some) operating their property. And if they live in a different location, they find it too overwhelming to effectively manage from a distance. I strongly urge that you hire an established locally operated vacation rental agency that understands the entire scope of the business and the community where you're your house is located. http://vacationhomesofkeywest.com

Realism

!: Realism

I

In William Dean Howells' words, Realism is ' the truthful treatment of material'. But to the question 'what is truth', philosophy gives not only different answers, but also different kinds of answers, representing different approaches to the same question. That's why 'Realism' is also a term which can't be defined with merely few words. In fact 'Realism' is a notoriously treacherous concept. Vladimir Nobokov, comments on this in his post script to Lolita, as it is 'one of the few words which can mean nothing without quotes'. Many critics agree that when asking about the definition of 'Realism', it is reality itself which they bring into question. Reality is seen as something which has to be attained and this attainment is a continuous process that never allows the concept to stabilize or the word to offer a convenient mould of meaning.

In 18th century the words were considered to be 'the images of things'. For example, Melville in his Moby Dick gathers together every possible definitions and descriptions of a whale and what he shows is that you can never catch a live whale ----- 'You can only have a dead whale' ----- from the images of whale, as Tony Tanner comments in his book Realism, Reality and the Novel, published in 1969. Later this concept was modified in present language as the image of reality. But it should be remembered that this concept also makes it clear that language is the instrument to achieve reality, not just to create images, carrying with in its own material of truth.

As mentioned before, a truth can be reached through various ways. Philosophy gives mainly two methods: one Scientific and other Poetic. In Scientific method Truth is discovered where as in Poetic method Truth is created by a process of making. The first method is called Correspondence Theory, while the second one is called Coherence Theory. Hence Realism can be defined differently with the help of these two theories.

In the Correspondence Theory, the 'Reality' is as it were arrested by truth, while in Coherence Theory, 'Realty' is in a sense created in the very act of perception. According to Bertrand Russell, the first case is Semantic while the second case is Syntactic concept of truth.

Balzac, who made realism fashionable as a modern doctorine says:

"The mission of art is not to copy nature, but to express her... We have to seize the sprit, and the soul of beings and things".

Robert Lynd has aptly remarked that art is not only an escape from life, but an escape 'into' life, and the first escape is of importance if it leads to the second. While doing this, an artist can't transcribe things as they are, but he can only convey his sense of things.

D.H.Lawrence, in his The Rainbow and Women in Love, found a logical conclusion that 'Reality' is present, where the word reaches its most fluid condition as it is used to qualify the shifting states of his characters' consciousness. There is a scene in The rainbow where reality for Ursula [ One of the central characters] exists in her own stimulated consciousness. So, when she is obessed by the thoughts of her future career as a teacher, her father sitting at the table, becomes less real than her fancies. According to this, reality can again be defined as the mood of the mind that dilates and contracts with the degree of activity of the consciousness.

In general realism can be described as the representation of things as the expression of plain, unvarnished truth without regard to ideals or romance.

II

The root of realism can be traced in the Chaucer's days in 14th century. The fourteenth century ballad writers took nothing as un-poetical and hence realism was found in ballads [such as 'The London Lick Penny', 'The Nut Brown maid']. Meanwhile Langland wrote his Piers the Plowman which was to present the existing sins done in the socity and thus this created a sense of realism in medival poetry. This medival tradition died in 16th century as it was mixed with 'Platonic' and 'Petrarchan' idealism. All sonnets writers of 16th century, except Shakespeare, used this mixed concept. But some of Shakespeare used this mixed concept. But some of Shakespeare's sonnets such as 'Song of Autolycus', the touch of realism kept itself fresh. In the similar manner in Ben Johnson's Pen thrust found a reaction against roses and lilies.

It is Ben Johnson, who has the credit to introduce 'Realism' into drama for the first time. Though he was classical dramatist, he ccreated his comedies which are intensely realistic, presenting men and women of the time exactly as they were. His Every Man in His Humor, Volpone reflect this fact.. His Volpone stands for his merciless analysis of a man governed by an over-whelming love of money for its own sake.

The Courtier Poets of the Restoration period were responsible for the second great achievement in the history of Realism, which was linked to Medieval Realism through Dryden's admiration of Chaucer.

In the 17th century philosophers and scientists like Descartes, Hobbes and Newton, provided the mechanical concept of universe. This provided food for realism in Augustan period. The study of nature of human mind was done in 'Essay concerning the human understanding' by John Lock in 1690. in it Locke related language to sense-impressions and this made the concept of realism more fleshy in the eyes of other poets and essayists. The poets invented a new weapon to face the challenge of the times. And it was called 'Satiric Humor'.

Pope in his Rape of the Lock presented a realistic picture with this new branch of realism. This spread out into prose writings of this time. In Swift's Gulliver's Travels , Battle of Books, Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe reflected this. While swift gave reality to pygmies, giants and the most impossible situations (as easily as if he were writing facts), Defoe at that period was known for recreating natural real adventure in reader's mind.

Swift, whose verse has been greatly understood by the idealistic critics, made poetry out of the refuse of the London gutters:

"Now from all parts of swelling kennels flow

And bear their trophies with them as they go;

Filths of all hues and odurs seem to tell

What street they sail'd from by sight and smell."

This is the poetry of ugly common place and yet vhaving a civilized tone. This was possible only due to use of his 'realism'.

In 18th century another kind of realistic poetry developed. It dealt with the realistic description of realistic description of landscape and country life. Its exponents were Thompson and Dyre and their successors up to Cowpeare's notable achievement in The Task. In this there is description of homely scenes, woods, brooks, of plowmen and teamsters, all in blank verse. But later, this realism has to fight against 'Romanticism' (in mid 19th century). Towards the end of this period we can find a touch of realism in some poetry of Burns and Crabbe. Crabbe in his preface to his Tales of 1812, defended realism in poetry, though the word 'Realism' was unknown to him.

After French revolution in 1789, a new kind of realism concerning the lives of common men started in both poetry poetry and prose. Only common place events find its place in such type. Wordsworth, the fore-runner of the Romantic movement was fundamentally a realist ------ perhaps the greatest after langland. In The Prelude, there is some common-place scene which is significant in this fact. The 'Victorian Age' was marked by a spirit of enquiry, criticism, Scepticism, religious unrest and spiritual struggle. The development of science and the analytical and critical state of mind leading to development of Realism.

Tenny son was the explorer of his age. He provided 'Scientific Realism', which can be noticed in his poems like Memorium or Idyles of the King . Robert Browning introduced 'Psychological Realism' during later part of 19th century. In it the 'motive' rather than the the study of thought or emotions was given priority. Other poets like Swinbrune, Rossetti, William Morries kept themselves busy with 'Rationalistic' and 'scientific' tendencies of the time.

But Coventry Patmore provided the 'Social Realism' to his readers. This can be noticed in his following poem lines:

"I hope you're well, I write to say

Fredrick has got, beside his pay

A good appointment in the Docks

Also thank you for the frocks

And shoes for baby................."

Victorian poetic realism ends with Hardy and Houseman, most of whose belongs to 20th century category chronology. Hardy owed much to Crabbe for his 'Tragic Realism'. Even in his novels like The Mayor of casterbridge this vision is fresh.

In 20th century, WW-I killed the gentlemanly sort of realism and created more rough reality in poetry and prose, which can be seen in the works of Siegfried sasoon. T.S.Eliot experimented on the boredom and frustration on modern life. Masefield was the first to sing about the 'underdogs' of lower classes of the society. His realism sometimes resembles to that of Zola with its ugliness and horror. This noisy violence kind of realism can be seen in his Everlasting Mercy, The Window in the Bye Street and Dauber.

Rupert Brooke whole heartedly believed in modern man's attitude in coming to close grips with life. He saw the world with greater clarity. In his The Greater Lover he wrote of the hundred and one everyday objects that gave him joy ---- plants, cups, dust, wet roofs, wood smoke, the 'cool kinliness of sheets and rough male kiss of blankets'. He invests this domestic catalogue with 'significance' and 'Beauty' turns the common place into the strangely new.

From the mid 17th century up to this day, realism has a permanent place in the prose writings. While realism was found in the poetry of Burns and Cowpeare, in the novels of William Goldsmith like The Vicar of Wakefield; Boswell's prose biography Life of Johnson and dairies of Pepys and Evelyn were flooded with 'reality-concept'. In 'Life of Johnson, Boswell presented the minute record of Johnson's greatness, prejudices, superstitions and even detail of his personal appearance. Peppy's diary records all the common gossips from 1660 to 1669.

In age of Romanticism, the realism was alive in Lamb's Essays of Elia. These famous essays began in 1820 with appearance of the new 'London Magazine'. Among these essays were 'Dissertation on Roast pig', 'Old China', 'Praise of chimney sweepers' ----- all these were the interpretation of London life.

Jane Austein, as a first female novelist started writing with the blending of 'Social Realism' with 'Romanticism', which can be noticeable in Pride and Prejudice. Victorian age novelists like Charles Dickens, W.M.Thakery and some female novelists like George Eliot used Realism as their best weapon. Dickens highlighted the condition of lower class, specially children in his novels like Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickelby with a touch of realism. He in fact correlated his childhood experiences into fiction. Thackery's Henery Esmond presents the pride and pomp of war, which are largely delusions, but its brutality and barbarism, which are too real. George Eliot did in novels, what Browning did in his poetry by using 'Psychological Realism'.George Eliot like Browning put stress on motive rather than emotion. This can be noticed in the character 'Tito' of her novel Romala.

Again Thomas hardy provided the 'tragic Realism' in his novels like The Mayor of Casterbridge. But his vision was not always tragic. In his pastoral comedy Far from the Madding Crowd, there is the point of realism on 'love'.

In 20th century the world war provided another chance to create realism in different works of art. The same happened in case of novels by H.G.Wells, Galsworthy, James M. Barie etc. H.G.Wells' Mr.Britling sees it Through (1916) is a realistic portrayal of English society in the dark days of WW-I. Galasworthy's The Man of Property is a reflection on Victorian society. Pride and Prejudice of Austein, The heart of Midlothian of Scott, The beloved Vegabond of W.J. Locke, Joseph Vance (1906) of De Morgan were in fact the examples of 'Romantic Realism'. This realism developed more and grew stronger than the 'Crass-Realism' of Zola. From the wide field of romantic realism there are three most important names of novels which are: The Divine Fire (19040 by May Sinclair, Joanna Godden (1921) by Sheila kye Smith and The Good Companions (1929) by J.B.Pristley. Thus realism has proved its essence in every field of literary works.

III

The nature of language is such that there can be no such thing as a neutral transcription of an object into words. In fact the 'representation' is not not only a technical,l but also a philosophical impossibility. Hence the idea of expression or recreation of truth through 'Realism' is not a perfect one though a good one. To its imperfectness Rene' wellek comments that realism ' inspite of its claim to penetrate directly to life and reality [...] in practice has its set conventions, devices, and exclusions...'

Heating up Inside the Sunbeam Electric Blanket

!: Heating up Inside the Sunbeam Electric Blanket

I have been a fan of electric blankets for a long, long time. I remember using them ever since I was young; I wasn't even married yet! By that time, although I always was very delicate to cold, there were times when I could do without an electric blanket. Nowadays, as years have passed and as I am approaching to an older age, I would prefer eating nothing all day rather than sleeping without my Sunbeam electric blanket! Yes, I'm both shy and proud to admit it but the truth is that I am addicted to my electric blanket!

Sunbeam electric blanket has a very special feature; it is equipped with special sensors that will detect cold parts of your body and will instruct the blanket to heat them immediately!

The blanket heats up very fast. Most of the times it will only take a few minutes for you to start feeling warmer than little birds inside their nest! Honestly, Sunbeam electric blanket will warm up a lot faster than you might have been used to with other electric blankets.

The blanket has a soft, extremely friendly, 100% acrylic fabric surface. I bought it in a light, white coloring but you can find it in just about any coloring scheme you would imagine.

One important advantage of this blanket is that you will not feel any wires/elements inside it. Sunbeam electric blanket feels almost exactly like a normal, everyday blanket does. This is achieved through what the manufacturer has named "ThermoFine Warming" technology. Being a simple citizen that I am, I can't really tell you much about how this technology works; what I can tell you however, is that it is really, really effective!

Some final notes now; the blanket comes with a 5 year guarantee and it has passed all the safety checks of course. For a large blanket, you will pay something close to 80 bucks; you can always get smaller sizes for less money. If you want to clean your blanket, there's nothing special you need to do; just clean it like you would clean any other blanket.

I would rate the Sunbeam electric blanket with a full 10/10. No, I'm not an easy to satisfy customer; the truth is that I am very demanding. In the case of Sunbeam electric blanket, I simply believe that this product is more than satisfying.
